Hidden Valley Broome began with a deeply personal transformation. In her early forties, Ali embarked on a journey of healing and renewal, breaking a long-standing smoking habit and discovering the magic of aromatherapy. A chance encounter with The Fragrant Pharmacy by Valerie Worwood and a handful of essential oils sparked a passion that would evolve into something much greater.
Inspired by the vivid colours, rich textures, and untamed beauty of Broome and the Kimberley region, Ali set out to make handcrafted soaps using traditional methods. Experimenting tirelessly—often in her family's kitchen—she crafted soaps, skincare products, and eventually candles. Encouraged by early market success and supported by loved ones, she registered Hidden Valley Handcrafts in 1995 and began selling at the Broome Courthouse Markets.
From humble beginnings, Hidden Valley Broome has grown into a thriving family business with a dedicated team and a loyal customer base—our extended family. Every product still carries the spirit of those first bubbling cauldrons of creativity and care.

Our pure essential oils are a customer favourite—many head straight to them as soon as they walk in. We offer them in 10ml, 50ml, and 100ml sizes, along with a beautiful range of signature blends like Peace, Cable Beach Sunset, Bush Breathe, Sacred Self, Welcome Home, Light Heart, and Full Moon Rising. These blends are especially popular and are shipped to happy customers all across Australia.

Hidden Valley sells high-quality pure essential oils rebottled in 10ml, 50ml, and 100ml glass bottles with droppers at very reasonable prices. Pure essential oils in 2.5% dilutions in jojoba oil, such as Roman and German chamomile, Rose Damascena (Bulgarian), Neroli, and Jasmine, are available. Some very popular pure essential oil blends include Cable Beach Sunset, Peace, Bush Breathe Blend, Light Heart, and Welcome Home, which many locals often describe as "the smell of Broome." We sell synthetic fragrant oils, especially sandalwood, rose, vanilla, and more. We also have diffusers and a solubiliser to distribute essential oils in water.
